rails per system.
to be leveled by surveyors transit or laser
and leveled to or - 0.
2.3 Plywood (particle board not acceptable) will be
utilized between rails to 1/8" below rail surface for tile or 1/4"
2.4 Final floor to be flush - no
gaps at side of rail, i.e., no tripping hazards
Steel Ramp (5 degree slope) at
front of system. Ramp shall not extend beyond front end of panel.
2.6 ~Wheels shall be precision steel and rest
on sealed self- lubricating pillow blocks on both sides of the wheel
assuring smooth operation. At least two wheel frames on each base shall have
a center guide to fit precisely into guide rail. Al wheels must be a minimum
of 5" in diameter. Wheels shall be precision ground and have a Brinell
hardness of 207/285. Wheel frames to be welded from 10 Ga. minimum steel.
2.7 Shafts -
solid steel. All wheels to be driven. Systems
without all wheels driven will not be acceptable.
2.8 Carriage Section "C"
shape 11 Ga. minimum - 1000 lbs. per foot rating
2.9 Shelving uprights - I - 1/2" x 1-1/2"
square tubular stock 16 Ga. minimum. A minimum of three horizontal
"C" channel stiffeners must be employed for strength. Flat
horizontal members not acceptable. Uprights must be precision recessed
